Robert is in Retirement!
The legend of Robert's began 1976, as a 20 seat restaurant down on Market Street where chef and owner Robert Dickson came bursting out the kitchen doors to serenade his guests. One cookware shop, one lunch spot, and three Robert's locations later, Robert's will be long remembered in Charleston's fine dining scene.
Robert after 34 years of Robert's of Charleston Restaurant, hung up his chef coat to embark on new adventures, hobbies, and spending time with loved ones. He leaves his knowledge and skill in the hands of his daughter and her husband who opened their own new adventure in 2010 in the same location on 182 East Bay Street. They own and run a Speakeasy sort of place called The Gin Joint.
Robert's of Charleston has heralded many accolades and awards, but our greatest achievement has been the wonderful comments from our customers. Please click on the link below to sign our "guest book" and tell us of the memories that Robert's has created for you.
